Don't Hate

Imitate!

I was recently in a group and could tell that someone didn’t like me very much.

Which is crazy right? (haha…jk I know i’m not everyones cup o’ tea!)

But I quickly realized it wasn’t a personality thing as much as it was a bit of envy or jealousy.

And due to some comments made I understood it was directed at my church.

Thing is…

We make kind of a big splash because we 100% practice what I’ve been preaching about advertising and inviting as many people as possible for the past few years.

I don’t just jaw about it here to you.

We do it!

We run Facebook, Instagram, Google, YouTube, and now even TikToc ads 24/7/365 that invite people to church.

And wouldn’t you know it…IT WORKS!

I could go on and on about why it works (and all the theology, philosophy, and hard data to back it up) but I don’t have time for that today.

But you better believe we’d stop spending the money to invite people if it didn’t work…

Over the years we’ve rubbed a lot of (cough* cough* religious) people the wrong way.

A few Easters ago we invited the Oregon Duck mascot to our church so people could get pictures with their family…

Of course some people in our community didn’t like that and made it known on social media.

Save ya drama for yo mama folks!

Because it wasn’t the lost people that came to church that day and gave their lives to Jesus that were upset!

It was fellow believers taking cheap shots from the stands.

Because they didn’t like how we were inviting people to church.

And you know what?

That’s fine.

Go ahead and hate.

But you want to know what’s better?

Imitate.

Why sit on the sidelines and grouse about your church not growing?

Or sit there and make assumptions about what others do?

Don’t be that person.

Jump on in, the waters fine.

Don’t listen to the hating critics.

They’re not the ones reaching people…I guarantee it!

Maybe, just maybe, there’s some LIFE in what I teach and model.

It’s already helped HUNDREDS of churches break growth barriers and make some momentum in their ministry!

Take it or leave it.

Hate it or imitate it.

UpLevel Leader is the place to be.

Right now we’ve got room for 4 more pastors to be a part.

Don’t hate, imitate!
