Yes, It Is About The Numbers

The Eternal Value Of Reaching More People

Recently an incredible couple from our church bought our staff pizza (yum) and did a 30 minute presentation on how to help people in grief.

They lost their 26 year old daughter in a car accident 7 years ago.

Of course it was devastating and they almost lost their marriage and health dealing with the grief.

By the grace of God they now help others process grief.

But something stuck out to me in the presentation.

One of the things never to say to a grieving parent that lost a child is: "At least you have other kids..."

Seems like common sense but people say kinda dumb things in times of grief, right?

I know I have.

Point is.

That comment/attitude reveals flawed thinking.

Losing even 1 child is unthinkable.

So what does God think when people say, "It's not about the numbers!"

I see it daily on Facebook and other places.

Pastors/churches say, "We don't want more people we just want to grow spiritually!"

Really?

That's it?

You don't want to reach more of the people Jesus died to save?

I have 3 beautiful kids: Evelyn, Jack, and Penelope.

I care about seeing all 3 know Jesus.

So yeah, numbers matter.

A lot.

Why not get REALLY good at reaching a bunch of people this year?

One of the ways we do it is with simple Facebook invite ads.
