Lessons From The Pinball Machine
When I was a kid, one of my favorite things was going to a restaurant with a pinball machine!
Do you know the ones I'm talking about? With the two buttons on the side that allow you to smack the metal ball up into the colorful lights and flappers…
My dad loves pinball! So he was always up for a few games, and he was happy to coach me and my siblings as we played. The biggest thing he taught me was, “Just keep the ball in play.”
Don’t go for the homerun or the special bonus thing-a-ma-jiggy…
Just don’t let that ball drop through the middle.
And you know what?
When I followed his advice things would always go better…
And sometimes I’d even get to hear that awesome, loud “CRAAAACKKK” sound that means you won a free game!
Which meant right back to, “Keep the ball in play!”
Well guess what?
Effective church growth and ministry is all about the EXACT SAME THING.
Keep the ball in play.
When it comes to growth you’ve always got to keep the ball in play.
Which means having an invite to church in play.
Mobilizing your people to invite.
Training your people to pray.
And more…
It doesn’t have to be fancy or complex.
Just super simple actions that create positive results.

Has your church or business received the Employee Retention Credit?
If not, it’s worth finding out if you’re eligible!
I just heard from a church that they’re expecting almost $20,000 back in their credit. Praise God!
Nothing to lose by finding out if your church or business qualifies…
