Really Loud and Sandy

Why You Shouldn't Always Take Feedback

Last night my wife and I went to see Dune 2..

And we had a great time…

Nothing beats a big blockbuster movie with a big tub of popcorn and Milk Duds!

But something happened before the movie that reminded me of why you shouldn’t take every piece of advice or feedback you get…

My kids said, “We heard from (someone in the church) that the movie is really LOUD and SANDY!”

That cracked me up!

I mean, “Yeah, it’s a sci-fi movie about a sand covered planet!”

So yeah, it was pretty loud…and pretty sandy!

But was that a downer?

Nope!

That’s what we were there for.

Not all advice or feedback is valuable.

Thing is, when it comes to church you’ve got to be careful with who’s opinion you listen to…

“Music is TOO LOUD.”

“Why did we get rid of the pews?”

“This church is getting too big!”

Take it all with a grain of salt.

Get a clear vision and plan for what God has called YOU to do.

And then do it.
